Classy, and the very BEST of the BEST accommodations, while also being warm, casual, comfortable, and incredibly easy to settle into and call this place home. The hardest part is leaving. Antonella is so warm and interesting and welcoming, ensuring that your entire experience – of Val D’Itria, and of her home – is an experience of a lifetime. Her design sense is like an accomplished artist – stunning, yet always accessible and warm. Her attention to detail is impeccable: (a) TWO systems to access wireless internet service, depending upon what part of the property you are in – always fast and strong and reliable. (b) Bathrooms that are well designed, and well-functioning with every convenience. (c) TWO kitchens – one smaller one inside the trullo, and one larger one with a big eating space in an external building for the larger meals – both incredibly well-equipped. (d) Numerous outdoor sitting, eating, and lounging areas, all with limitless views so you could simply stay outside during your entire stay, soak up the magnificent beauty that surrounds this home, and never have leave to visit the nearby towns, and you’d still feel as though you had a fantastic visit, connecting to all that is most spectacular about this very special part of Puglia. This location affords you very close, easy, quick side trips to Martina Franca, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ostuni, Alberobello, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, and numerous other “must-see” towns throughout the Val D’Itria. This is Puglia at its finest. Don’t miss Antonella’s food shop in Martina Franca of so many of the area’s local specialties: pastas, meats, cheeses, and other yummy and unique delights. And get the name of the braceria in Sisto that is a mere 5 mins. away – REALLY GOOD! Also, ensure you find your way to this area’s dedicated cycling/walking paths, only minutes from this home. They go forever throughout this gorgeous countryside, enabling you to soak up many very quiet, authentic views of the trulli, olive groves, vineyards etc. of this area – with no cars – and these paths can take you from village to village. No matter how long you THINK is long enough for a visit here – double that time, and you’ll still want to remain longer, and return again and again and again. Grazie Mille, Car’Antonella, per tutto! Speriamo di tornare subito e spesso!
House was newly (and tastefully) renovated and it was surrounded by grape vines and all kinds of home grown vegetables which you can pick up and cook as you wish. Fresh tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, pumpkins, herbs, lemons and many more. everything was in top condition! The host was so kind and accommodating - what a lovely person! Everything was well thought of for the comfort of the guests. all necessities were well stocked. Also there were many home made food like pasta sauces, jams, preserved vegetables and wine made available for free of charge. The property was impeccably clean upon arrival. All the linens and towels were brand new and of high quality. The kitchen and cooking utensils were abundant. Inside the the truly was cool (i guess that's the idea of building a trullo) and at night time the weather was very refreshing. The property was well lit at night and had a good alarm and security system. We loved everything!
Fantastic stay at an exceptional property. Antonella is a wonderful host, introducing the property and on hand as necessary throughout our stay. Cannot recommend highly enough as a base for exploring the hill top towns and Pugliese coast.
Antonella and her family were wonderful hosts, very friendly, hospitable and kind. Laetitia Trulli is a fantastic home away from home, well equipped with all required amenities for a long term stay. The Trulli is newly renovated with fine taste and designed for maximum comfort. We arrived to find a very clean and orderly rental. We surely will choose to stay here again. We miss you already...
Antonella was so welcoming, warm and enthusiastic. She made us feel so at home. And the trullo itself was superb - it's a beautifully restored historic building with great facilities, set in a peaceful countryside location not too far from a lovely town. Everything was perfect, we just wish we had more time there! Grazie mille Antonella!
Antonella's house is absolutely beautiful. It is immaculate in it's presentation and contains the highest quality fittings and decor. The house has recently been re-built (it was originally her grandmother's), conforming to the traditional design of the trulli homes. The living rooms, bedrooms and kitchen are all contained under the original conical shaped roofs, giving this wonderful sense of history and originality. An adjoining lamia provides a second and larger kitchen along with a large entertaining area. Outside there are also two sheltered dining/entertaining areas along with a pizza oven. Surrounded by her father's vineyard, vegetable crops and olive groves, the experience is as if you are really living the life of a local, albeit in the kind of luxury that very few people would get to experience. Antonella is the most amazing host. She greeted us in town with her lovely daughter and led us to the property which is located about 5 minutes in to the countryside. She was gracious with her time explaining how everything worked and answering our questions about what sights to visit, and where to eat and shop. Antonella provided us with a stocked refridgerator which included water, juices, yoghurt, milk, Proseco and wine that was made by her father from the property's vineyard. We lit a fire every night and enjoyed many a glass. She also provided us with handmade jams that came from the property's fruit trees, cereals, nuts, fruits, pasta and pastries. It was very generous of her. Valle D'Itria is a fascinating place full of interesting towns (Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Alberobello were our favourites) all within about a 10 minute radius of Antonella's house. The countryside is beautiful, the locals are very friendly and the food and wine is to die for. We will definitely return. We highly recommend Trulli Laetitia.
Antonella's place is fantastic. A wonderful space inside and out. The children loved exploring the vegetable garden, and the we loved the view. The location is amazing, short drive to beaches and lovely villages. Antonella and her daughter were so helpful in recommending place to eat and visit. They could not be better hosts. Look no further, this is an exceptional place to stay, perfect for two families. We hope to come back.
Antonella was a wonderful host. She was focused on ensuring we got the best from our holiday and recommended many good restaurants, beaches and shops. The experience was exceptional from the beginning to the end. On arrival Antonella provided a wonderful tour of the Trulli and left lovely food, cakes and drinks to ensure we could be instantly at home. The Trulli is truly exceptional. The quality of the fit out; the beauty of the original buildings and the space to enjoy outdoor dining and living. I am 100% confident no one will be disappointed with the space. A small but lovely touch was access to the Trulli vegetable garden - picking tomatoes for our lunch and living off the land. The Trulli is located in a rural location but there are three nice towns all within 10 minutes drive - packed with nice restaurants, markets and places to visit. The coast is further away but we managed to visit it many times. The visit to Antonellas Trulli was a wonderful experience and one I would recommend to anyone looking to explore Puglia.
